Most travel content today is quietly made up. Plausible-sounding names, borrowed photos, a chef who never existed, a restaurant that closed in 2019. The AI apps are the worst of it: confident, polished, and wrong.
So I built the opposite, on purpose, and showed the whole process.
How a guide is made
I have AI write a full guide, then I put a second AI to work fact-checking every single place against its own real sources. It always finds a lot. 393 mistakes in Croatia. 317 in Portugal. 111 in Italy. Wrong villages, invented prices, made-up history, places that do not exist. I fix every real one and attach its source.
Then I refuse to fake the photographs. Every image in a guide is a real, openly licensed photograph, credited, or the page is left to the words rather than faked. Not one is AI-generated.
That is the whole product. The places are real, the facts are checked, the photos are real, and you can see the sources. Verified, not invented.
